One of the most popular American brands continues to expand its business worldwide, including Croatia.
In the last quarter of 2017, globally popular McDonald’s earned $5,34 billion, more than analysts expected ($5,26 billion).
The financial director at McDonald’s Kevin Ozan recently announced that the company would invest around $2,4 billion of its capital and open up to 1,000 new restaurants around the world in 2018. This global expansion of the popular fast food chain also includes the opening of three new restaurants in Croatia.
McDonald’s opened its first restaurant in the Croatian capital of Zagreb on the 2nd of February 1996. Over the past 22 years, it has been operating in the country opening restaurants in Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Šibenik, Pula, Sisak, Varaždin, Velika Gorica and Karlovac. In the last business year, the franchise giant came to Slavonski Brod and opened its 29th restaurant in Croatia. It seems only a matter of time before the fast-food giant opens a McDonalds in Dubrovnik as well.
This year, the company started the final phase of digitization and restoration of restaurants, which will allow guests to experience the most modern way of ordering, and ensure McDonald’s to keep the leading position on the Croatian market.
‘’We are also thinking about expanding our offer by introducing delivery, and we believe that our guests will feel all the improvements we are working on every time they visit McDonald’s’’, commented the director of McDonald’s Croatia Pavel Pavliček.
