One of the best electronic music festivals in the world will celebrate twenty years of its existence next year.
The ULTRA Music Festival was founded in 1999 by Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes and named after the 1997 Depeche Mode album ‘’Ultra’’. The first edition of the festival was held in Downtown Miami at Bayfront Park almost twenty years ago.
Other Ultra Worldwide festivals and events take place across the world in locations like Cape Town & Johannesburg (South Africa), Seoul (South Korea), Singapore (Singapore), Tokyo (Japan), Hvar and Split (Croatia), Mexico City (Mexico), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Bogotá, (Colombia), and many other destinations. At the end of Ultra Music Festival 2017, it added two more countries: India and Australia.
Celebrating the twentieth anniversary, the Ultra Music Festival TV channel (UMF TV) has been releasing the best video footage of the world's best electronic music festival held in the largest cities of the world including the smallest one among them – Split in Croatia.
The short video ''Croatia in Motion'' features the beauty of Croatian locations where the festival takes place as well as the best moments of the festival itself held at the Poljud Stadium.
The festival in Split is the only ULTRA festival with an additional title ''Europe's Premier Destination Music Festival'' because apart from great music it puts emphasis on the city of Split, the Dalmatia region and the beauty of the Croatian coast.
The sixth edition of the Ultra Europe music festival in Croatia will take place from the 5th to the 11th of July 2018 on locations in Split and on the islands of Brac, Hvar and Vis.
