The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra has planned a busy December of concerts for the festive season once again.
The first concert will take place on Tuesday the 5th of December, on the feast of St. Nicholas, in the Dubrovnik Cathedral at 8.00pm. This evening of music will feature the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and the Dubrovnik Chamber Choir along with mezzo-soprano Renata Pokupić as the soloist.
And the on the 14th of December the traditional Christmas concert will be held in the cathedral at 7.30 pm. This concert, in co-operation with the Dubrovnik Rotary Club, will feature many special guests, such as the vocal choirs Kaše and Subrenum, and is always popular as Christmas carols and advent tunes are traditionally performed.
On the 22nd of December the big Christmas concert, which has been held since 1991, will be held in the Hotel Valamar Lacroma. This evening, starting at 8.00 pm, will have a rich program of guests along with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, such as the Mixed Choir Libertas, vocal groups, Dubrovnik choirs and Christmas songs and carols will be played.
And then on Monday the 1st of January the New Year begins with a gala concert on the Stradun in the centre of the Old City of Dubrovnik at midday.
Entrance to all of these concerts by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra is free of charge.
